Cookie, Local Storage and App Storage Policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026
Sfermish uses browser storage on the website and local app storage in the Android application to remember functional settings. Its own aggregate service statistics do not add advertising identifiers. Current web and Android releases do not serve advertisements or use advertising consent systems.
1. Sfermish website first-party storage
| Key | Purpose | Storage |
|---|---|---|
sfermish-theme | Remembers the light/dark theme selected by the user. | Local storage, until changed or cleared. |
sfermish-nickname | Remembers the last nickname on the device for convenience. | Local storage, until changed or cleared. |
bullet-nickname | Legacy key read only for backwards compatibility with older versions of the game. | May remain from an older release until cleared by the browser/user. |
2. Previous advertising storage
Older Sfermish versions could store local keys named sfermish-ads-next-interstitial-at-v1 and sfermish-ads-interstitial-pending-v1 for advertising frequency. Current releases no longer use these keys for advertising. They may remain on devices that used an older version until the user clears the site's or app's local storage.
3. No advertising-consent settings required
Current Sfermish releases do not show Google advertising or request Google advertising consent. The game still stores functional preferences as described above. You can manage these through your browser or Android storage settings.
4. Browser controls
On the website, you can remove Sfermish local storage using your browser's site-data controls. Doing so may reset the saved nickname and theme and remove older unused advertising keys. In the Android app, functional information such as preferences, nickname information and saved skins may be stored locally on the device. App data can be removed through Android's app storage controls or by uninstalling the app.
5. More information
